I started using the payment card. How to assure cash and data safety?
You have to remember that a payment card is your personal settlement tool and do not allow any other person to use it. After issuance of a new payment card do immediately sign on the special stripe. Keep your card and do not disclose your card password to other persons.
After completion of a transaction at the ATM do not forget to pick your card. In case of your card loss or if other persons learn your card password please immediately inform Contact Centre, SEB Bank at 1528, (8 ~ 5) 268 2800.
Keep receipts confirming the card transactions by the issuance date of the monthly statement of the account and continuously verify the receipt data with the statement data.
After expiry of the card validity period return non-valid card to the Bank.
What actions should be taken in case of a payment card loss?
If you lost a payment card or learned that it is in possession of other persons you have to immediately block it. You may do it by contacting the Contact Centre of SEB Bank at 1528 or by visiting the nearest customer service sub-branch of SEB Bank.
What actions should be taken when I realised that other persons learned my payment card password or log in to the Internet password?
If other persons learned your password you have to immediately change it. The payment card password may be changed at any customer service sub-branch of SEB Bank. The Internet password may be changed by selecting menu item “Change –>password“.
What actions should be taken if I forgot to pick the payment card from the ATM?
If you forgot to pick your card from the ATM, please contact the Contact Centre of SEB Bank at 1528 or visit the nearest customer service sub-branch of SEB Bank.
How to assure that my account data on the Internet and in other banking systems are inaccessible to other persons?
The highest data security level is guaranteed by software and specific security facilities of SEB Bank. Security is assured by the above facilities if you comply with the Bank’s recommendations on protection of your data, payment cards and passwords from other persons.
How to assure security of my account handling via the Internet?
Check your funds turnover and account balance on a regular basis.
Establish a sufficient limit of the Internet transaction and if necessary increase it (you may change the limits by visiting any branch or sub-branch of the Bank).
After completion of the Internet session do not forget to log out by selecting menu item "Log out".
Your session on the Internet will be successfully completed when the note “Session successfully completed” is displayed on the screen. The above actions will prevent access of other persons to the system if your PC is temporary left unattended.
What is the best location for keeping the payment card, log in to the Internet and e-account handling system passwords?
Do not write down the passwords and do not keep related information in your purse or handbag, at your personal computer or in any other locations accessible to other persons.
We do recommend memorising the passwords. Prior to your password input you must be sure that other persons do not observe you. The passwords should be changed on a regular basis.
What actions should be taken if the Bank’s employees request to provide password related information orally, by phone or e-mail?
Do not provide any information, as such person is not the Bank’s employee. The Bank never requests to disclose your password orally, by phone or e-mail. Immediately inform the Contact Centre of SEB Bank at 1528 about attempts to lure your password.
What combinations should be used as passwords for log in to the Internet banking systems?
Use passwords consisting of capital and small letters, digits and special symbols.
Use combinations consisting of symbols that are not known to anybody and difficult to guess.
How to assure confidentiality of data during the Internet banking system session?
E-crime prevention and banking specialists recommend renewing the software version, i.e., operational system, firewall and antivirus software.
Be extremely careful when opening e-messages (received from unknown senders), browsing on the Internet, copying information from various portals and web sites. Do not open and immediately delete messages (especially attachments to such messages) received from unknown or suspicious senders.
What actions shoud be taken when a virus is identified or proposal on installation of any unknown software is received?
If the virus is identified or proposal on installation of some unknown software is received you have to contact a specialist.
Are we allowed to consult friends, colleagues or strangers about the payment card use or about e-banking services?
You have to consult with the Bank’s specialists about such issues.
What actions should be taken if when buying goods at the Internet shops or in case of own account data input into service provider’s web site leads to doubts about their reliability?
In case of suspicions about data safety on the Internet terminate the transaction and contact SEB Bank.
