Rent of Safe-Deposit Box

SEB Bank offers safe-deposit rent services to private individuals and corporate customers. A rented safe-deposit box may be opened only be a person who rents it or by a person authorised by him/her. The safe-deposit box rent charge depends on the size of the safe-deposit box and rent period.

What items may be stored in the safe-deposit box?

Usually the below listed valuables are kept in safe-deposit boxes:

securities;
ownership and other documents;
jewellery;
insurance policies;
rare postal stamps or coins;
pieces of art;
spare keys of your apartment or car;
cash if due to some reasons you are unwilling to deposit cash in the bank account;
other important items or documents.

Guns, explosive, liquid metals, drugs, radioactive, aciduous, easily flammable and perishing substances, etc. may not be kept in your safe-deposit box.

What types of safe-boxes may be rented?

The below specified types of safe-deposit boxes may be rented at SEB Bank:

mechanical safe-deposit box – a standard safe-deposit box with a two-lock system. One key of the safe-deposit box is retained by the tenant and another by the bank. The tenant may enter the vault only accompanied by the bank employee;
automated safe – a safe-deposit box may be locked by a magnetic card and a key. The tenant creates a password for opening a safe-deposit box. The tenant enters the vault alone;
safe-deposit box with a code lock – a safe-deposit box includes a digital code lock . The tenant himself/herself creates the identification code. The tenant enters the vault alone.

How to rent a safe-deposit box?

You may rent an individual safe-deposit box at any branch of SEB Bank specified below. You will have to sign a Safe-deposit Box Rent Agreement and pay the approved fee (you will be required to present your passport or any other personal identification document).

If you are willing to get access to the rented safe-deposit box, in each case you will have to present your personal identification document.
