Correspondent banks

Correspondent banks are intermediary banks with which the remitter's or the remittee’s bank has correspondent accounts for transferring funds.

Choose a correspondent bank according to the transferred currency, the destination country and terms of transfer. If you need help, call our 24/7 line at +370 5 268 2800 (private customers) and +370 5 268 2822 (business customers) or visit any SEB bank unit for advice on choosing the best way to transfer money or a correspondent bank.

Nostro correspondents

Nostro correspondents are banks or other financial institutions abroad with which the SEB Bank has accounts intended for international transfers.

  • Funds are normally transferred in the currency of the country where the chosen correspondent is located.
  • A regular transfer takes two business days, an urgent one is completed in one business day while an extra urgent transfer is done on the same business day.
  • The price of transfer depends on the urgency level of the transfer.

If you need to receive money:

  • In euros, you can choose an euro area correspondent in the remitter’s country from the list of nostro correspondents provided below
  • In euros, but the remitter is in a euro zone country where we don’t have a correspondent or in another country, choose any correspondent in the euro area countries from the list of nostro correspondents
  • In another currency, choose a correspondent bank depending on the currency
