When you choose the card payment acceptance service, you enable your customers to pay by the most popular cards such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro or V-Pay issued by banks of any country.

The service can be used by natural persons who are self-employed, small and large retailers which sell products or provide services directly to individuals. The service may also be used by those who are not SEB bank customers.

  • manage working capital efficiently: the amount of card payment is credited to the seller's account as soon as the next working day
  • cut cash collection costs as:
    • cash collection service is needed less often
    • you will be able to offer a cash withdrawal service (up to EUR 100) to customers paying by cards issued by SEB or DNB banks

An electronic card reader is a data input terminal which reads data from the magnetic strip or chip of a payment card and forwards payment data to the bank.

Our card readers

Our card readers meet all the requirements of Visa and MasterCard international organisations. We offer:

  • stand-alone readers (not connected to accounting or cash register software)
  • card readers connected to accounting or cash register software

There are two types of card readers. Depending on your needs you may choose:

  • fixed card reader if you intend to use it at a single location
  • mobile card reader if you plan to use the reader at multiple locations within the point of sale

Card readers must be connected to the internet (WLAN, Wi-Fi, GPRS) or a fixed telephone line.

Special offer for new entities*

  • POS terminal subscription fee does not apply for the first year of its operation
  • Commission fee: 0.9 per cent of a card transaction amount
  • After the first year of operation, EUR 12.00 monthly subscription fee is applied
  • The offer applies if the number of installed POS terminals per company is no more than three

*New entity means a company with its establishment date within the recent 12-month period.
