Card sending by mail

Card sending by mail

Receiving a renewed debit card is as easy as getting a morning paper

  • There is no need to go to the bank to get your renewed card as we will send it by mail
  • You can order the service online

We can send you a renewed debit card by mail to your home, workplace or any other location in Lithuania and abroad — where you spend most of the time and where it would be most convenient for you.

The card will be renewed automatically after its expiry date. Until now you had to go to a bank unit to collect the renewed card. Now you do not need to go to bank as we can send a renewed debit card by mail.

Order the service

As the date of expiry of a debt card approaches (notices will be posted on the online banking site and monthly card statement), order the delivery of the renewed card by mail in the most convenient way:

Specify where and how the card is to be delivered

We can send a renewed debit card:

  • to anywhere in Lithuania:
    • by unregistered mail (free of charge)
    • by registered mail (personal delivery subject to a EUR 1.45 / LTL 5 charge)
  • abroad by unregistered mail (at a charge of EUR 5.79 / LTL 20)

Sending a card by mail is secure

Cash held in the account of the debit card sent by mail is secure because the card is not activated before dispatch. The card must be activated before it can be used.

The PIN code is not changed (the PIN code of the old card remains) or sent by mail upon renewal of the card.

A renewed debit card must be activated within 60 days of the date of its dispatch. A card may be activated in one of three ways:

  • on the banking web site where you have to enter a special code specified in the card activation instruction sent together with the card
  • on one of ATMs in Lithuania or abroad through a regular transaction (for instance, account balance check) by entering the correct PIN code
  • at any SEB bank unit

For more detailed information about payment cards, their issuance and use terms as well as applicable fees please contact us at +370 5 268 2822 or visit the SEB bank unit of your choice.

  • Once you receive your card by mail, please make sure that your name and surname or the name of your company is specified correctly.
  • Sign on the signature panel on the back side of the card.
  • If you have received at least one damaged envelope or have suspicion that the card or PIN code may have been used by unauthorised persons, do not activate the card and return the envelope with the card and PIN code to SEB bank. A reissued card will have to be collected from the bank.
  • Once the renewed payment card is activated, the old one can no longer be used. Use scissors to cut your old payment card
  • If you have received a wrong payment card, please return it to SEB bank.
