SEB Baltic Gateway is a solution for direct bank and accounting software connection and data exchange. It offers the possibility to get account information, as well as forwarding of payment orders round-the-clock. Baltic Gateway is based on RESTful API-s with XML format messages.

It is a modern and effective method for sending payment orders and receiving the bank account-related information.

Baltic Gateway service will be useful for such companies, which need to immediately receive information about funds booked to their accounts. It is also useful for such companies, which execute a large number of payment orders.

SEB Baltic Gateway services

  • intraday reports to get real-time account information
  • pre-generated previous day (End of Day) account statement for automatic processing of incoming and outgoing payments
  • get account statements from the past 2 years
  • sign and initiate SEPA, SEPA Instant or international payment orders and receive the statuses of payments directly in your accounting software
  • get card payment acceptance service report

Baltic Gateway is based on RESTful API-s with XML format messages in ISO20022 format.

In order to use this service, you will be required to:

  • have an account in SEB bank
  • sign the Baltic Gateway Service Agreement
  • install the service according to the SEB Baltic Gateway technical specification or use accounting software provided by bank‘s cooperation partner (Operator)

Security of any sent or received message will be ensured by reliable security technologies:

  • communication certificate for identification and data encryption (by the client and by the bank)
  • payment order to be signed by a qualified electronic signature
  • payment order to be approved by several signatories. The bank will check rights and transaction limits of the undersigned persons

In order to use the Baltic Gateway API-s you need below technical set up:

  • a software that can send and receive data in ISO 20022 XML format
  • a valid authentication certificate (public key infrastructure technology - PKI), which ensures the authentication of the customer and the security of the service
  • in order to use the services with signing (for example payment authorization) a qualified electronic signature is requered
  • create requests based on SEB Baltic Gateway technical specification
