What to do in the insured event for home or travel insurance

Home insurance

• Immediately inform relevant authorities (the police, the fire and rescue service or the manager of the house, etc.) about the event. 
• Submit an application for indemnity 24/7 on the webpage www.ld.lt/zalos or by calling AB “Lietuvos draudimas” at 1828 
• Never start repair without the consent of insurer

At the time convenient for you, valuators from Lietuvos Draudimas will come to see the damaged assets, or the damage issue will be resolved by phone. Be sure to keep the damaged asset until Lietuvos Draudimas valuator’s visit.

In case of theft, for a meeting with valuators remember to have the following documents:

• document issued by police evidencing the event (if available);
• list of stolen and/or damaged items.

Travel documentary evidence (e.g., travel tickets bearing the traveller’s name, statement of a bank account, tour operator’s confirmation/agreements, etc.) may in all cases be provided as copies.  Original copies may be required at the insurer’s separate request.
