Please be informed about the changes in SEB’s General Rules and price list, which will come into force on 1 January 2026
Due to amendments to the Law on value-added tax (VAT), which will come into force on 1 January 2026, the VAT of 21% will start to apply for the services that are indirectly related to financial services, i. e. administrative, technical and similar ones.
Please note that you don’t need to take any actions regarding these changes.
A brief overview of the changes
Major part of the prices will not change – VAT will still be not applicable for them.
The VAT will be applicable to administrative, technical and similar services, such as:
- Bank account statement preparation
- Mailing of a statement of bank account or any other document by post
- Payment document endorsement by the bank
- Sending a card by post in Lithuania, to another country, via parcel machine
- Collecting a card at the bank’s branch
- Sending a digipass to another country
- Bank SMS message
- Bank certification, letters and other endorsements
- Issuance of a certified document copy
Also, we renewed SEB’s General Rules:
- On Section 6, we added a point stating that if a VAT invoice shall be issued to the client, we will issue it in an electronic form
- On Section 19 of Appendix 2, Rules for the Issue and Use of Payment Cards, we indicated that payment card monthly fee is deducted on the 27th day of each month for the previous period (previously, we did it on the 28th day)
For all updates of General Rules, as well as the price list, described in more detail, please refer to the dedicated section of our website called Changes in the General Rules and price list for private and business clients .
If you disagree with the changes, you have a right to terminate the Framework Agreement free of charge until 31 December 2025.
